Here’s another interesting lesson to learn from Numbers. In verses 39-45 in chapter 15, we find out that the Israelites got in a hurry and attempted to go into the promised land too soon. Even though the promised land was promised to them by God, God was not with them at that time to take possession of their promise.
42 Do not go up, or you will be struck down before your
enemies, for the Lord is not among you. - 44 But they went up heedlessly to the
ridge of the hill country; neither the ark of the covenant of the Lord nor
Moses left the camp.
This is why we must always nurture and grow our relationship
with God. His timing is vital for the possession of our promises and direction.
His presence is necessary for victory!
Be patient, obedient, and stay in His presence at all times,
because He wants to get you to your Canaan.
