Deuteronomy 8-10 part 2

I tend to be a very “bottom line” type of person. “Why are doing this and why are we doing it this way?” It is sometimes seen as rebellion, but I personally find it necessary in order to fully devote myself to something. What’s the “bottom line? What is the result? And what are we truly called to do and why?

These can often be frightening questions, but they can also be extremely enlightening. We find an answer to one of these bottom line questions for the Israelites in 10:12,13.

12 “Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the Lord’s commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?

So, whether you decide to post it on here or not, my question for you today is:

“What does the Lord your God require from you?”

Is it the same requirements given to the Israelites?

Think about it. Pray about it. Don’t answer too quickly or too generally.
