Let me bring to your attention Joshua 18:2, 3 “There remained among the sons of Israel seven tribes who had not divided their inheritance. 3 So Joshua said to the sons of Israel, “How long will you put off entering to take possession of the land which the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you?”
I wondered if perhaps that some Israelites were so accustomed
to living like nomads for forty years, that they were hesitant to settle in the
promises God gave them. Then, I also have to ask my self that same question. Do
I ever get so normalized in my current situation (disease, stress, anxiety,
depression, conflict, habits) that I do not enter into my very own promised
land?!
I believe there are times that we must act as Zelophad and his
daughters.
Joshua 17:4 They came near before Eleazar the priest and
before Joshua the son of Nun and before the leaders, saying, “The Lord
commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brothers.” So according to
the command of the Lord he gave them an inheritance among their father’s
brothers.
Remember what God has promised to YOU! Claim it and go get it!
“Take possession of the land”
Don’t get so accustomed to less, when God has promised you
more!
