Judges 19-21 – April 6

Such a sad season for the Israelites because of their rebellion. Even the priests had idols! It should be a reminder for all peoples that when we allow ourselves to conform, the slippery slopes become traps of sin and failure.

Heed the advice in Judges 19:30 Consider it, take counsel and speak up!”

Judges 21: 25 In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

Thankfully, we do have a King, and I want to do what is right in His eyes only.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
